11. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating
systems and mobile applications include a
Do-Not-Track ("DNT")

online browsing activities monitored and
collected. At this stage no uniform technology
standard for recognizing and implementing
DNT signals has been finalized. As
such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser
signals or any other mechanism that automatically
communicates your choice not to be tracked online.
If a standard for online tracking is adopted that
we must follow in the future, we will inform you
about that practice in a revised version of this
privacy notice.

PRIVACY RIGHTS?
In Short: Yes, if you are a resident of California, you
are granted specific rights regarding access to

to request and obtain from us, once a year and free
of charge, information about categories of personal
information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for

certain information so that we can match the
information you provide with the information we
already have on file, or we may contact you
through a communication method (e.g., phone or
email) that you have previously provided to us. We may
also use other verification methods as the circumstances
dictate.

to make the request. To the extent possible, we
will avoid requesting additional information from

Empire National, Inc., together with its affiliates and
subsidiaries ("Empire"), utilizes driver-facing and
road-facing dashcam technology and related driver
intelligence software (collectively, the "Dashcam
Technology") provided by Motive Technologies, Inc.
("Motive"). Certain information collected through the
Dashcam Technology may be considered "biometric data" or
"biometric information" under applicable state laws. This
Policy explains the categories of biometric data that may
be collected, the purposes for which such data is used,
how it is stored and protected, and how long it is
retained.
Dashcam Technology and Data Collection; and Use of
Biometric Data
When enabled, the inward facing camera may analyze video
of the vehicle interior and its occupants. In limited
circumstances, this analysis may involve facial or body
related measurements that could be considered Biometric
Data under certain state laws. Empire does not sell,
lease, trade, or otherwise profit from Biometric Data.
Where required by applicable law, Empire obtains written
consent from drivers prior to the collection or use of
biometric data.
Empire uses reasonable standards of care to protect
Biometric Data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or
misuse. Biometric Data is stored, transmitted, and
safeguarded using measures that are at least as protective
as those applied to other sensitive and confidential
personal information.
Empire's practices are designed to comply with applicable
biometric privacy laws, including, where applicable, the
Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA).
Biometric Data is retained only for as long as reasonably
necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this
Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or
permitted by law. Biometric Data is permanently destroyed
when the initial purpose for collecting or obtaining such
data has been satisfied or within three (3) years of the
individual’s last interaction with Empire, whichever
occurs first, unless a longer retention period is required
or permitted by law.
